Hadith on Golden Rule: None has true faith until he loves for others what he loves for himself

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “None of you has faith until he loves for his brother or his neighbor what he loves for himself.”

Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 45

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim

Ibn Hajar said, “Faith is not complete unless he abandons envy, animosity, malice, and malevolence.”

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ أَوْ قَالَ لِجَارِهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ

قال ابن حجر وَلَا يَتِمُّ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا بِتَرْكِ الْحَسَدِ وَالْغِلِّ وَالْحِقْدِ وَالْغِشِّ
